What is Needed Today: Bold Prayer
II Timothy 3:1-5
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

I am thoroughly convinced that our nation is standing on the brink of the most extreme judgment it has ever faced, and in this bleak hour I believe God has something to say to His church in America.
We serve a loving God who is moved by things that are ruining His perfect creation and His wonderful purposes for man. God wants to speak to His church and to the man or woman who loves to listen. I’m afraid not many are listening today. This is unfortunate because God wants to speak to us about our family, our marriage, our life’s direction, our church, and our nation. However, not many are inclined to hear His voice in this hour.
We must realize that we cannot solve the problems facing us and our nation in our own power, but we know the one who can and He is greater than any moral depravity or economic challenge we may face.

The fact is that prayer changes things. It changes our hearts, our families, our churches, and ultimately our nation. So let us join together in bold faith believing that God will manifest Himself once again and cause another awakening—a revival that will turn us, His church, this nation, and our culture around. He alone can revive the church, turn us toward repentance, and bring a spiritual awakening to our society.
Let us boldly pray with all our hearts and call on Heaven to see a new and great work in our country! Amen.
