Happy New Year to you and your families! As we enter 2018 we have a great need to see God move in our church, in churches across the country, and in our nation as a whole. God desires to prepare us for the great work He has in store for us.

To start off the new year, our church will be participating in the Daniel Fast. As we have participated in this fast over the last several years, God has given direction to us and prepared us for what has come ahead. We are believing that God will do greater things in us and through us this year than we have seen done before.
The Word of God shows us that when we combine prayer and fasting we see God’s hand at work to answer prayers and see the miraculous. The most important thing we can seek God for during this time is that He will use us, individually and corporately, to reach the lost. God has commissioned us to be His hands and feet to see the lost world brought to Him. He promises us that we will reap a harvest as long as we do not give up.

As we move forward, let’s press on and believe together for God to move in a powerful way during this time of prayer and fasting. A praying church is a powerful church!

DV8 Youth Group Worship Night

The Youth Group will be having a night of prayer and worship from 7:00pm-8:30pm. We are anticipating this to be a powerful night in God’s presence.

Daniel Fast 2018
The Daniel Fast is a 21-day fast based on Daniel Chapter 10, in which Daniel fasted for 21 days before hearing from God. For several years, LHOH Church has been participating in this fast to start the new year and prepare ourselves for what God has for us.
Prayer and fasting is a powerful combination and we see the results of prayer and fasting throughout the Bible. Jesus Himself spent much time praying and fasting during his ministry.
This fast begins with three days of total fasting (no food, only water and 100% juices).
Only certain types of foods are allowed for the remainder of the fast.
